Riverforge Router

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started
What is Riverforge?

Riverforge is a crypto swap platform that uses AI to find the safest route for moving tokens between blockchains. Every route is scored for safety, and only routes that meet our minimum threshold are recommended.

What chains are supported?

Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. You can swap between any of these chains. More chains will be added in the future.

How do I connect my wallet?

Click "Connect Wallet" on the dashboard. We currently support MetaMask. Once connected, your balances load automatically and you can start swapping.

Swaps
How do swaps work?

Select your tokens, enter an amount, and click Compare Routes. Riverforge finds the safest path, shows you the estimated output and fees, and you confirm in your wallet. For cross-chain swaps, the bridge takes about 10–15 minutes — Riverforge handles the rest automatically.

What is the safety score?

Every route gets a score from 0 to 100 based on how safe and reliable the path is. Riverforge requires a minimum score of 90 — routes below this are rejected. We will never recommend an unsafe route.

Why was my route rejected?

No safe path was found for that swap. This can happen if there isn't enough liquidity or the token pair doesn't have a safe route available. Try a different token pair or amount.

Do I need to switch chains?

No. You stay on your starting chain the entire time. For cross-chain swaps, Riverforge handles the destination chain automatically — you just sign a message in your wallet.

Fees & Costs
What does it cost?

Riverforge charges a flat 1.00% platform fee per swap. For a $100 swap, that's $1.00. You also pay standard network gas fees. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium tiers.

Why do cross-chain swaps cost more?

Cross-chain swaps involve multiple transactions across different blockchains, so there are gas fees on each chain. Riverforge finds the cheapest safe route available.

Where can I see my fees?

Click any swap in your history on the dashboard to see a full breakdown — gas fees, platform fee, and total cost.

Safety & Funds
Are my funds safe?

Riverforge never has access to your private keys or your funds. All transactions are signed by you in your own wallet. We only recommend routes that pass our safety threshold.

What if my swap fails?

Your funds are safe. If a swap fails partway through, your tokens are either still in your wallet or have already arrived on the destination chain. Check your swap history for details — it shows exactly where things stopped and where your funds are. You can retry the swap at any time.

Why is the bridge taking so long?

Cross-chain bridges typically take 10–15 minutes. This is normal — your funds are in transit and will arrive on the destination chain. If the page times out, don't worry — check your wallet on the destination chain after 15 minutes.
